WHAT IS ART THERAPY
Art therapy involves the creation of art as a therapeutic activity in itself and the creation of art within a therapy session. Being creative, whether it's painting, drawing, dancing, singing or some other form of creative expression, helps us to express our inner most thoughts and feelings, find hope and meaning in our lives and a way to heal the hurts and wounds we have experienced/are experiencing. Art therapy is great all all ages and abilities and can be very beneficial and healing for mental health issues, grief and loss, dementia, injury, chronic/terminal illness, etc.
